Before I tried Zumba Fitness for the Wii yesterday I barely knew what Zumba was except some fitness dance class. I wondered what all the fuss was about. I could go dance anywhere I wanted. Heck I got a great workout every time I went to the club because I would shake my booty so much.
After having Cole, even before, I knew that I needed to lose weight. Problem always is finding something to keep my attention. It has to be fun, something I can do at home, and work with my schedule. Then while Christmas shopping for the kids there is was...they actually too this Zumba thing everyone has told me about and made it into a Wii game. So after Christmas I exchanged the Biggest Loser (I already have that game and will let you know how that one is next) and got Zumba.
Yesterday I was able to just get a taste of the game. Just hearing the music while I was looking at the menu had me moving. Glancing over the game you have tutorials for all of the different steps, you have just one by one song routines to do which all have different levels, and also the Zumba class that also has different levels. I opted to just do one of the routines. First I will say look at the routine before you do it if you have never gone to a class. The routine was 5 mins long, I did some salsa for a beginner, and had a blast! Oh and all the muscles in my legs made me feel like I had been on the treadmill for an hour! If Cole wouldn't have woken up I would have done another!
Starting Monday I will begin the classes and also follow the workout schedule that you can make per the game as well. On alternating days I will put in the Biggest Loser game I also have with the Wii. So I will give a little more insight on the classes Monday night.
The only bad points I can possibly make is if you have a Kinetc for the Xbox 360 buy it for that instead if you want to make sure you are being 100% accurate. Also if you are going to be on carpet don't use reg. running shoes or get a mat like they use in offices for the chairs because friction with your shoes and the floor can be a pain. Other than that I love this game and if you like to dance and shake those hips like I do get this game! And invite me over cause I will take you on in the 2 player challenges any day!
