Hey Chics! So I am on day 6 and I am now 5lbs lighter! I am so amazed by this program so far. I have even messed up a time or two and it is forgiving! I know that I said I was suppose to be on this 1st stage for 14 days but the book also says I can go onto the next phase after losing 5-10lbs. So I really want to start exercising and I am going to start the next phase on Wed as long as I keep the weight off and maybe even lose some more!
And I am being truthful when I say I feel Gooder than grits! Yesterday I put on an outfit and for the first time in I don't know how long I didn't change. I could look at myself in the mirror and smile. I normally start off with thinking I know what I am going to wear and then maybe 10 shirts later I am so fed up I put on an over sized shirt and went out the door. Today didn't count cause it was so cold I was in sweat shirt mode lol.
So I saw of my FB page people were asking me how I am doing this so I am going to break down what I am doing. I can not go into full detail cause I would be writing all night so you are going to get the important info.
Breakfast always starts with a smoothie. I have posted earlier the easiest one.
1cup of almond, coconut, rice, or hemp milk
1 scoop whey protein powder
1cup frozen strawberries
blend
Here is another one:
1 1/2 cups coconut water
1 carrot
1/2 small beet
1 handful of spinach
2tbsp hemp protein powder
1/4 cup chopped dates
12 whole frozen strawberries
Blend everything for 90 seconds except the strawberries. Then add strawberries until smooth
For lunch and dinner you need 4oz of lean meat
skinless chicken and turkey
lean cuts of red meat (limit these to a couple times a week)
Eggs
Porkchop
Any fish pretty much (I don't eat fish so I am not an expert there lol)
For Lunch and Dinner
Eat those veggies!!!
What you can not have:
starches: bread, pasta, potatoes
Mayo
high calorie dressing
Those are very basic guidelines but it gets you in the right direction. This diet is for people in good health and a Dr says it's ok. If you are diabetic you would have to tweak it because you do need some starch.
Here is another recipe for a soup. I am going to try this during the week.
Cauliflower and Carrot Soup
l head of cauliflower cut into florets
3 large carrots peeled and chopped
4 cups water
2 whole garlic cloves
1/2 white onion chopped
1/2tsp ginger
sea salt to taste
In a large pot bring water to a boil. Then add carrots and cook for 5 mins. Add cauliflower and cover for 8 mins. Add onions and garlic and cook another 5 mins. Remove from heat and add ginger. Puree the soup until creamy. Add sea salt to taste.
Well, I hope that helps a little. Tomorrow I am off to a bridal expo and I hope I can take something away from that. Have a great night!
xoxoxo,
Kelly
